I am Professor of physics in the field of Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics (ATMOP).

I am specialized in two distinct fields; High Resolution Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy (HREELS) and High Intensity Femtosecond Laser Interactions with Molecules. I had my

BSc and PhD from University College London (UCL) then undertaken my first

postdoctoral position in surface science as heterogenous catalysis at Cambridge University.

I joined the Faculty of Sciences at the L University in 2007; delivered and organized many courses and gained significant experience in teaching and tutoring both in Physics and Math. I have developed courses ranging from A- level to undergraduate and trained students on different laboratory techniques.

In the last twenty years working in academia, I have supervised postgraduate students on research projects and thesis writing, and examined student during their viva. Recently, I am working on developing innovative ideas (e.g., high resolution free spectral range spectrometer and variable focusing mirrors …) and some of my inventions were patented by United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

I always simplify physics ideas and give examples from things around us or we use. Also encourage physics students to think independently, out of the box, broaden their knowledge, analyze where flaws are and be a problem solver.

To be a philosopher you must be a physicist.
